Hike in Wineglass Bay 🥾⛰️ Some of the most beautiful beaches and bays can be seen from the views in Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park is gorgeous for hiking and swimming. You can get a guide here but you don’t necessarily need one. The trails are clearly marked and it’s easy to find your way around. 2. Swim with Seals in Waterfall Bay 🦭🧜🏼‍♀️ Seals are sooo much fun to swim with! They are found along the coast in this area. Boat tours will take you to the spots where you can see seals and snorkel with marine life. 3. Photograph Wombats on Maria Island 📸🦘🏕️ This island is home to so many species of Australian wildlife. You can find wombats, kangaroos, and even Tasmanian Devils if you’re really lucky. You can also camp on this island with your own camping gear or visit for the day. Remember to pack a headlamp 🔦 4. Scuba Dive in Caves 🤿 🫧 🌊 We chose to dive Cathedral Cave which is the biggest cave system in Australia. This is more of an advanced dive so we recommend doing you PADI Cavern Diver Specialty & PADI Dry Suit Diver for the cold water (trust me 🥶) 5. Look for Penguins at night in Bicheno 🌖🐧 Fairy penguin colonies live in the rocks by the beach and can be spotted after dark. This knot is called a round turn and two half hitches. And the round turn of two half hitches is a fantastic knot for tying on fenders. So here are the steps to do a round turn and two half hitches. You go all the way around your stanchion or the dock post, leave quite a bit of tail. So there's our round turn we like to go over and you come back through that triangle, tighten it up, and the second time we come under. And then back over and that tightens it up. And that's a clean looking round turn, two half hitches. And you can see how that is a real strong, solid knot that's gonna hold your fenders or your dinghy to a dock.

Um novo trauma adicionado à lista! 🥵🌪️ Saímos de Los Narejos, nossa ancoragem favorita aqui no Mar Menor, e seguimos para La Manga por conta de um vento forte que estava previsto. E tcharan… acabamos enfrentando a pior condição que já pegamos a bordo do Utopia. 🫠 Um vento que ganhou força e se transformou na Tempestade Alice! Em outubro de 2025, o que era para ser 30 nós virou 52, veio da direção errada e nos empurrou em direção à terra, com ondas enormes que se formaram rapidinho. Diversas cidades da região sofreram com as enchentes 😥 Nisso só vinha aquela sensação que não saía da cabeça: “Quando isso vai acabar?” Felizmente, nada além do trauma aconteceu! Entre calmarias e tempestades, seguimos vivendo, aprendendo… e navegando. ⛵✨ E você, enfrentaria ou correria? 👀
