Join us as we explore some of the most iconic areas of Indonesia's Bird's Head Seascape-Cenderwasih Bay and Raja Ampat. Cenderwasih Bay is well known as one of the best spots in the world to find quite large congregations of whale sharks, not to mention beautiful reefs and lots of fish. Raja Ampat on the other hand is home to some of the world's most bio-diverse reefs which top the global "Species Count" charts for corals and marine life. This is a two-stop safari rolled into one, and as such, we've aimed at making it a "best of both worlds" safari, so we've charted an amazing luxury wooden Liveaboard built in the traditional Indonesian 'phinisi' style for the Cenderwasih portion, and will later transition to an outstanding resort built right over the water in Raja Ampat.

► Full test in our Special Issue 20 Forever Green 2: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/catamaran/hopyacht-30-for-making-short-hops-under-sailand-electric-power ► Nominated for the MOTY 2023 in the Forever Green category, the HopYacht 30 is offering a new and refreshing approach in the somewhat traditional world of boating... this catamaran designed by Du Toit Yacht Design makes no pretentions in terms of performance, focusing instead on ease of handling and practicality in general. Indeed, the HopYacht 30 features a single furling genoa supported by a mast logically stepped very far aft. The designers have limited the beam to 11 feet 3 inches (3.44 m) in order to limit the cost of a marina slip. The HopYacht can be disassembled and its two hulls each fit into a standard shipping container. This catamaran will therefore be crossing the oceans as deck cargo - it is approved in CE Category C (Beaufort Force 6 and maximum wave heights of 2 meters or 6½ feet). In addition to its genoa, the HopYacht is powered by two 6 kW E-Propulsion pods, equivalent to 9.9 HP regular motors, but without pollution or noise of course. With the adoption of an induction cooker and an electric water heater, no fossil fuels will be consumed on board. The interior, not dissimilar to what you’d find in the riverboat sector, is surprisingly comfortable for a unit of this size. The manufacturer is also offering an interesting model of shared ownership for 6 people (or 3 couples). ► TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Builder: HopYacht Architect: Du Toit Yacht Design Length: 30’8” (9.35 m) Beam: 11’3” (3.44 m) Draft: 2’4” (0.7 m) Air draft: 39’4” (12 m) Sail area: 318 sq ft (29.5 m²) ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! The Lagoon 570 is a large catamaran with plenty of space on board and can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 double en-suite cabins with separate crew quarters for a Skipper or extra guests. This is one of the nicest presented Lagoon catamarans that we have had on our listings and is always kept in absolutely immaculate condition inside and out in fact I do not feel that you would find better without a long hard search, this catamaran is a real beauty! One of the older style Lagoons, which in many peoples opinion was a much better sailing yacht, better built with a generous degree of performance compared to the newer options..... This catamaran is based in Portugal and is ready to go now and expected to sell quickly, due to her lovely condition and current demand for the larger older style catamarans. With this catamarans spacious layout it would be an ideal crewed charter option or a superb private family world cruiser. Maintained to perfection by her carefully owners and fully loaded with options, the yacht is extremely well equipped. If your looking in the 60ft foot range for a catamaran you owe yourself a trip to see this one as it is rather special with huge cockpit and luxurious saloon there is plenty of space on board for family friends or charter guests and rarely available this side of the pond.
