In den Sommermonaten besucht das Segelschiff Eye of the Wind einige Hafenfeste entlang der deutschen Küste. Schon oft standen der Hamburger Hafengeburtstag, die Kieler Woche und die Hanse Sail Rostock auf dem Törnplan des über 100 Jahre alten Zweimasters. Meet one of the reef’s most charming oddities — the Donald Duck Shrimp (Leander plumosus). With its distinctive duck-bill shaped rostrum, bold red-and-white markings and delicate transparent body, this tiny crustacean is a master of disguise in the busy textures of Indo-Pacific reefs. Often found tucked into crevices or living amongst sponges and hydroids, it survives through clever camouflage, social behaviour and precise timing as it moults and grows. Each August, we have a special trip to the Sea of Cortez/Midriff Islands to benefit breast cancer research with Dive for a Cure. In August 2020, we had 18 fun-loving ladies, a big inflatable pink flamingo, a pink tutu, and lots of craziness to go with an even crazier crew. We had a blast!

Oui, il y a les jours où tout est mouillé, les manœuvres qui tournent au sketch, les petits coups de stress, les plans qui changent à la dernière minute et les réparations qui arrivent toujours au mauvais moment... Mais il y a aussi…✨ Des couchers de soleil qu’on n’oubliera jamais, des mouillages de rêve, des rencontres incroyables et cette sensation de liberté qu’on ne troquerait pour rien au monde. Alors non, ce n’est pas toujours « sunshine and rainbows »... mais ça fait partie de l’aventure !☀️⛵
