After an ice storm and a late-night show, we return to our sailboat to see what winter left behind. Frozen lines, rigging checks, and a full winter boat inspection to make sure everything survived. After the storm, we bring in provisions for the weekend, wake up to quiet marina mornings, make coffee and a warm omelet bowl with music playing in the background, and take care of a failing electrical outlet onboard. This is real winter sailboat life—maintenance, problem-solving, and slowing down together. If you’re into sailing vlogs, liveaboard life, or learning what winter boating is really like, this episode is for you. ⚓ Subscribe for honest sailing life, boat maintenance, and cozy moments from the galley. Cheers! - Rodney & Cyndi

Muito obrigado por esse um ano que estivemos em parceria com a ONG Navegando nas artes. A partir de agora, como vamos mudar de Estado, vimos sentido em apoiar a ANI - A Associação náutica de Itajaí.

After years of travelling slowly across Japan — by sailboat, train, and on foot — I realised something unexpected: The hardest lessons weren’t about learning more. They were about unlearning assumptions. Not facts. Narratives. Cultural shortcuts. This short introduces a five-part reflection on 5 things I had to unlearn — and what that reveals about longevity, community, and aging. You can read the full essay here: https://www.nevertoolateacademy.com/post/five-things-i-had-to-unlearn-about-japan From the forthcoming book Longevity and the Art of Community: Lessons from Japan. #JapanSolo #Longevity #SlowTravel #HealthyAging #Community #FieldNotes
