Giorno 49 - prua su Torrevieja. Dopo la veleggiata dei giorni scorsi una notte di riposo in cabina era quello che ci voleva. Nonostante la risacca ci abbia cullato troppo vigorosamente, la stanchezza ha avuto la meglio. Per fortuna. Ci svegliamo in un contesto incantevole: il sole sorge, la barca non ha un filo di umidità e cogliamo l’occasione per l’ultima ripresa del video che pubblicheremo nel pomeriggio su YouTube. C’è molto fermento in noi per l’uscita di questo racconto: ci mettiamo a nudo, parliamo di una scelta fondamentale che ci riguarda e spieghiamo i nostri piani futuri. Insomma, la nostra progettualità è al servizio di chiunque desideri sapere perché stiamo pubblicando ogni giorno un video racconto del nostro viaggio. La navigazione comincia serena, l’ormai consolidata coppia di prua (tormentina e genoa) sono gonfi e con la randa tirano barca verso ovest. Gibilterra è a ogni miglio più vicina. L’obiettivo è arrivare a torrevieja dove hanno dato ancora anche Chris e Maria, I nostri amici canadesi. Stiamo correndo per trovare un ridosso sicuro per i prossimi giorni in cui è prevista forte instabilità meteorologica. Dopo pranzo si alza la solita brezza giornaliera che qui solleva anche un moto ondoso discreto. Saltiamo, picchiamo l’acqua e torniamo a correre. Più che una corsa, a tratti, sembra un incontro di boxe: incasso e colpisco. Solo che l’avversario non è da vincere, ma da sfruttare e rispettare. Arriviamo in porto e diamo ancora al ridosso del frangiflutti. Questa notte dormiamo in un lago praticamente. Che lusso! Buona notte amici, ci si sente domani!
