The Double Sheet Bend is one of if not the best way to join to ropes of different diameter. You can learn how to tie a double sheet bend in less than two minutes. Here at Bottom Up Boat we prefer the Double Sheet Bend over the Single Sheet bend, the two loops around the bight give it key advantages over the single sheet bend. The two loops make the knot more secure before the knot has been put under load and easier to untie as the double loops cause the knot to tighten on the bight rather than the loop wedging itself at the top of the bend. The Bottom up Boats team recommend that you learn the single sheet bend, https://youtu.be/vKvJ3aKu43A , but always use the Double Sheet Bend as it is far superior. If the shorts version was to quick for you and you want a more detailed demo of how to tie the double sheet bend you can watch the full form version on the bottom up boats main channel. https://youtu.be/mQU20P-Idns If you like the Double Sheet Bend video you should click on the link below to watch out Know Knots playlist which has variety of knots that every sailor should know. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMoCfFBA9IMUcOoZy5QT-o66DM8uHukkH Thanks for watching our YouTube Shorts video where we teach you how to tie the double sheet bend video and for reading on to learn more, if you learnt something along the way don't forget to subscribe getting the Bell on to ensure you are notified as soon we release our new content.
Originally designed as a fast cruiser and capable racing boat, the 42s7 comes with a very attractive and functional interior designed by Philippe Stark. The pear wood and curved shapes, multiple opening ports and generous headroom gives the impression of a much larger boat. The oval salon table comfortably fits 6 to 8. Being a First series boat by Bruce Farr Yacht Design, the 42s7 is a pleasure to sail and will perform very well in light air as well as gale conditions. This two cabin layout features a salon perfect for entertaining, with the galley that is out of the way, yet secure on passage. A pair of electric primary winches in the cockpit make sailing and getting the dinghy up easy! Boats setup to cruise internationally come with much more gear than what you’re used to seeing in marinas in the United States. Davits, dinghy, solar panels, fuel polishing, water maker, new generation anchors and heavy duty chain and windlasses. This 42S7 has it all! Save money on taxes and refit expenses by buying a boat already in Mexico ready to go anywhere! Jason cruised on his 50ft ketch in Mexico from 2015-2022, before going ashore in Banderas Bay and working for Infinity Yachts. Leverage his recent experience cruising in the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Mexico to get your cruising adventure started with confidence and the connections you need to be successful. Catamaran Adventures: the San Blas islands are a group of islands in the San Blas Archipelago in the Northwest of Panama facing the Caribbean Sea. ▫️ More information at CatamaranAdventures.net. ▫️ @catamaranadventuressanblas ▫️ If you are looking to explore this region on a sailing charter, Catamaran Adventures specialise in multihull vacations in the archipelago. They only offer catamarans in their fleet to take advantage of their stability, comfort and shallow draft that will give you access to the more secluded anchorages not accessible by monohulls or motor yachts. ▫️ This area is home to the indigenous Guna Yala people, and these islands are steeped in a rich tapestry of culture and tradition. ▫️ The Guna are known for their vibrant textiles, intricate beadwork, and colourful “molas”. ▫️ Catamaran Adventures San Blas has sailed the Guna Yala region for over 12 years and has developed a bond with the people of the area through employing members of the community and working with them on development projects and health initiatives. The Catamaran Adventures fleet includes the following: - Fountaine Pajot Salina 48 (with A/C, the most equipped boat in the San Blas islands.
