Just off the coast of Cancun in Mexico is one of the largest whale shark congregations sites in the world—where you can literally see hundreds of these gentle giants slowing swimming about on the surface as they siphon up their meal. Since they are right on the surface the best way to approach the sharks is by snorkeling!
