Just a quick video from my sail today onboard a friend's 2016 Fountaine Pajot Ipanema 58 from Jost Van Dyke, with a quick stop at Sandy Spit, and then onto West End. The vacuum bag begins to pressurize the uncured tape-based structure before heat is applied. The sail will remain on the mold for only several hours, whereas a 3DL sail of earlier generations would take days to lay the necessary filaments.
