On the other hand, the atmosphere both on and off the water has never been better. The trade winds, in fine form at between 20 and 25 knots, undoubtedly had something to do with it... The five entrants in CSA 1 enjoyed superb courses towards Saba, Saint-Barts and Anguilla. The HH66 Lee Overlay Partners (ex Nemo) put on a great show, impressively flying a hull and, above all, peak speeds pushing 30 knots. The Gunboat 72 Layla was not to be outdone, with her GPS recording a top speed of 24.5 knots. The La Grande-Motte shipyard's first flybridge catamaran won the overall race on corrected time. The Diam 24 fleet was of course severely tested by the choppy conditions, but there too, they put on quite a show. In this fury of spray and exciting runs, the crew of Anomaly came out on top, leaving their rivals with no chance of a rematch. For the past two years, the CMC has been running a second division called Rally. This year, the 9 participants were accompanied - and looked after - by our Marketing Director Gwen Dorning. Recently we worked with the Irish Sailing Association at their Youth Pathway event held at Ballyholme Yacht Club. The event was one of the largest we have covered yet with racing over 5 fleets and 3 race courses. Fleets included Toppers, Optimists, Laser 4.7s, Laser Radials and 420s. As the ISA are currently working on building their social media channels, we decided that opting for several short videos would be most suited to their needs. We decided that filming would only be needed for one day, to allow us to get the content we required. We produced an overall video to release first, along with a short teaser for Instagram. We then worked and made a short 40-60 second video for each class. We also have the option to use the content to promote future events for the ISA
