According to the Volvo Ocean Race tracker the fleet is pretty close to one another. But how close are they really on the middle of the ocean?

Hey kids, when a port hull and a starboard hull love each other very much.... they make a catamaran. This is the early assembly of sv Little Bird, a Balance 526 Catamaran being built by Nexus Yachts in Saint Francis Bay, SA. Photo credit: Roger Paarman Music: liqwyd-vibes

If you listen to the various discussions around the docks, you know that there is significant disparities among sailors concerning fixed docks and floating docks. For Toni and I, nothing beats a floating dock and we think most catamaran sailors would agree. Fixed docks required line adjustments, fender movements, and simply getting on and off the boat safely depends on the tides. However, a floating docks are a set it, and forget it. Everything moves as a whole with the tides. See why here. Feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts. Subscribe and share the adventure!
