WIND? Singlehanded Docking Stern To with Lazy Lines Nick in this video shares valuable insight on handling winds while performing a stern-to docking manoeuvre with lazy lines. =========================== Transcript Now if it was a really windy day or if I was getting blown away right now I would drive boat against that stern line or control line so that I had control and was not drifting closer to the dock especially if I had a wind on the nose. So we just keep pulling this out and I keep watching the stern of my boat. Now that I'm pulling the boat forward I don't have to worry about the boat heading backwards there and I've got that control line on so I can't go too far. So I'm not going to worry about trying to pull this really hard right now I'm going to get it firm. Get it on. The the Over Hand Knot is one of if not the simples of knots to tie, chances are you already know how to tie it you just don't know what it is called. It is a stopper knot that can be used to stop sheet and halyards from running through cleats and pulleys.
