Timing is everything when the left hand side of the beat is favoured. Black flag was up which created a bigger sag in the centre of the line. Timing the run to the pin allowed us to force the trailing boats into a down speed tack, a loose cover to windward and off to the top mark in a tight race. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying the short clips from the 2025 racing season.

One of our friends in Monterey let us take his Boston Whaler out for a spin, and Ira discovered... again... that she likes to go fast! She asked me to sit in the front so I could feel what it was like to try to take photographs from the front of the boat, and boy was it bumpy! She offered to speed up to try to skip across the wave tops a bit more, but I felt like it was plenty fast. Just like on a bumpy road, sometimes the best way to smooth out the ride is to go 100MPH...?
