Die Halse mit Spinnaker und den doppelten Schoten und einem asymetrischen Spinnaker Baum ist anspruchsvoll aber auch sehr sicher bei viel Wind. In meinen Segeltrainings ist dies das Königsmanöver. Auf einem Törn eher selten, dann schon eher beim Skipper Training auf Mallorca zu finden.

The team on GTR had a great weeks sailing in Volvo Cork week 2024. There were plenty of action adventure and excitement through the week with team showing improvement the more time they spent on the boat. By the end of the week we where beating one of the other J109 and getting closer to the leading two, on the finishes to the offshore race we topped out at nearly 11 knots of SOG with the tide push us along on a lovely reach into the harbour. The current Greece / Turkey border crisis reminds me of our encounter recently at the Greece Turkey sea border off the coast of Kos. Not exactly 'Greece under attack' as some media reports have been saying but it demonstrates how it's not just about rubber dinghies full of immigrants or refugees. This jetskier easily evaded the Hellenic Coast Guard high speed boarder patrols, dropped off a passenger on Kos and returned to Turkish waters in the space of about 20 minutes!
