► Full test in Multihulls World No. 202: https://www.multihulls-world.com/review/motor/dracan-42-a-powercat-with-a-bold-design ► On display at the International Multihull Show, the Dracan 42 was available for sea trials, so we obviously jumped at the chance to test this powercat launched by a dynamic team based in Poland. Powered by twin 300 HP outboards, the Dracan reached 30 knots. On the day of our test, the sea was perfectly flat, but crossing the wakes of several other boats at full speed gave us a good idea of how it would handle in waves. In the curves, the 42 stays flat. The modern design of this semi-open hull is unmistakably successful, and the carefully designed layout, with 2, 3 or 4 cabins, will adapt to any program. The deck layout is ideal for relaxation, with large sun loungers aft and a forward cockpit. You can now find new Zircon models in 29mm sheaves and triple sheave versions of the 40mm and 57mm. New sizes make Zircon appropriate for control lines in multi-part purchases. And they react immediately. So, when the pressure gets light, and sailors want to ease that 24:1 cunningham they’ve rigged under the deck, it will move. Since the first tests, Zircon blocks have overcome inertia so easily, trimmers have reacted in fractions of time and sheet—creating better-matched sail shapes that increase boat speed. The update here is that now, they’re great for more than sheets. Learn more about the 29mm Zircons 👉 https://bit.ly/Zircon29mm
