Sailing when the wind is almost imperceptible is no small feat at this scale. For boats of this size, offering this level of comfort, it is even a real signature. If Gunboats continue to glide where others start their engines, it is no coincidence. It is the result of a rigid structure, a finely balanced sail plan, and a hull design engineered to transform the slightest breeze into motion. A silent but very real performance. Thanks to sails designed specifically for each Gunboat. This is a major collaboration with our partners to harness the real engine that drives Gunboats forward: the wind.
Lockdowns are hard for everyone. But imagine being at sea when the destination you’re heading for closes its doors. And in March 2020 that was what happened on Caribbean island of Grenada. Fortunately the Marine & Yachting Association of Grenada saw what was happening and made a proposal to the Ministry of Health to allow yachts to arrive in a Covid safe manner.
