Soñando con las lanillas. Cuando navegamos en ceñida, tenemos que mirar los catavientos siempre. En mis clases de vela, siempre hago mucho hincapié en que hay que estar atento a las lanillas del foque o génova cuando navegamos en rumbos del través a la ceñida. Muchas veces, el tripulante viene viciado por la electrónica y deja esta herramienta relegada al recuerdo. No se da cuenta que una lanilla es más eficaz que la electrónica. No quiero decir con esto que los avances tecnológicos en náutica no sean útiles. Nada más lejos de mi intención. Solo digo que los catavientos, cualesquiera que tengamos a bordo son una herramienta fabulosa. West Highland Yacht Week 2023 gave the team at Bottom Up Boats a story to tell in the bar which you could never imagine.. As the J109 Going To Red was coming into the bottom mark for the second time they had to put the bow done to avoid a dog that had jumped off the bow of the boat in front. I must admit that I would never have expected to have to worry about dodging dogs at the bottom mark of a yacht race. I guess you should never say never when you are out and about on the race course.
