The Causeway bridge connects the Dutch side of St. Maarten, to the French side of St. Martin. The bridge was officially opened in 2008 and spans a length of approximately 3.5 km. The bridge is frequently used by tourists and locals as a scenic drive as it offers stunning views of the Lagoon and surrounding areas. Dear Salty Sailor, Fresh water is one of the most precious resources we carry on our sailboat, and access to it can be critical in remote locations. We decided to install a water maker to ‘produce’ our own fresh water, and we couldn’t be happier.
