Michael & Heike have travelled the oceans themselves for over 40 years. But, it was back in the early 2000s, when they were determined to find a better way to supply energy to the propulsion system and the onboard appliances of yachts. After years of dedicated research, this led to the birth of the Solarwave 46 in 2009 – their first prototype of a solar powered catamaran. In 2010, they initiated a rigorous four-year sea trial. This might be the most unforgettable Khao Soi we’ve ever tried… A place built by 9 relatives - each of them a chef, each adding a piece of their soul here. But what stayed with me the most… was watching her. An elderly Thai woman, carefully making the crispy noodles - one of the most important parts of Khao Soi. Every portion - slow, intentional, full of respect. You can literally feel it in the taste. I even got to talk to her… and you just know this is more than food.
