In February 2019 we replaced our Jeanneau 379s Batida and Manhattan with two brand new Beneteau 381s. We have continued with the cocktail theme and named them Palomar and Sazerac. These new yachts are fractionally bigger in length than the Jeanneau 379’s. However the carry their chine almost all the way to the bow, consequently there is a noticeable amount of extra space both below and in the cockpit. The boats have two wheels, Raymarine Axiom Chart Plotter, Raymarine Quantum Radar, AIS and heating. In fact everything you would expect a modern yacht to have! Possibly the most memorable video we have ever produced was on board UNBRIDLEDz the Caotain at the time was GUI Garcia, and together with his wife Cathryn they were passionate scuba divers. They actually had their wedding ceremony underwater! 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈 Learning to dive with Gui and Cathryn was a privilege, and they quickly gave me the confidence to swim with sharks at Danger Point in the Bahamas. To get my mind prepared, I thought about walking through a field with dogs in it. It’s true that one may bite you, but it’s unlikely and as long as you leave them alone you’ll be Ok. 😁 The current Captain of Unbridled, Liam Devlin is an equally impressive character. Passionate about his work and with a keen awareness of the power of social media I have enjoyed interviewing both Liam and the owner for a podcast series. And then there were 6 🫣 Here’s a little fly-by picture reel of our second fur-baby Smidge 🐾 Rescued by Laura from under a green wheelie-bin at a teeny 500g - almost died of gastroenteritis but came back from the brink and never left (much to Ross’s initial disapproval 😂). We’ve had her a little while now but until we were completely confident she was suited to boatlife we kinda kept it schtum 🤫. Turns out she won’t leave the boat even if the windows and hatch are wide open but she does love to hang out during a spot of yoga on deck… Ronnie took her under his furry paws like nothing you’ve ever seen and their love is something else! Who else has rescue kitties on board and would pick take all the strays home if they could? 👩🏼🧔🏽♀️👦🏼🧑🏼🦰🐈🐈⬛🦋⛵️❤️
