Hugh and Suze crossing St. Catherine's Sound on the GA coast on December 01, 2012. Tide was ebbing and wind was incoming from the NE making the crossing a little testy. This is actually quite normal anytime the wind and tides oppose each other in these sounds. At least this time the waves hadn't built up more that a foot or so.
I've been living on this sailboat for half a decade. I've sailed to more than 10 countries and sailed for days on end solo. Single handed sailing the open ocean. Ask me anything about what it's like at sea or being a liveaboard solo sailor. I live on my 1979 Morgan 382 Sailing Vessel Arianrhod
The team at Lyman-Morse deftly executed a construction feat recently with our large architectural canopy project currently under construction in Thomaston, Maine. The team craned the 80' x 32' composite canopy-half outside, flipped it over, and nestled it back inside so the stage of the project can begin. This half will now be receiving a Class A marine-grade coating, while the second half is constructed adjacent to this one. This is part of a major architectural feature coming to Cambridge, MA's Kendall Square this fall. The canopy will cover the entrances to the MBTA stations and serve as a major showpiece for the major redevelopment project. Turner Construction is leading the project.
