To achieve this feat without jeopardizing safety, the MODX 70 designers decided to launch a catamaran large enough to support a very powerful battery bank while increasing the potential area of the solar panels - it stretches to 750 square feet (70 m²). The two motors are capable of a 100-mile range. The fully automated rig is perhaps the most amazing feature as the two retractable carbon masts - one on each hull - each support a 1,345 sq ft (125 m²) inflatable wing. It is this rig - in miniature version - which was presented in La Grande-Motte during the International Multihulls Show. Hull #1 is already in build, using 38% biosourced epoxy resin, 40% recycled PET foam, flax fiber and cork. Tous ceux qui vivent sur un bateau connaissent cette fameuse étape de la laverie… 🫧 Les machines pas toujours très propres, les sacs de linge à transporter, les allers-retours jusqu’à la laverie… Et surtout, ce moment où tu te dis : « Bon, ça va, j’en ai pour quelques heures. » Sauf qu’en réalité… entre le trajet, l’attente, les machines, le séchage, le pliage et le retour avec tes énormes sacs de linge, tu réalises que tu viens d’y passer toute ta journée Eh bien ça… C’ÉTAIT AVANT ! Parce qu’on a maintenant notre propre machine à laver à bord 🥹 Un petit changement qui peut paraître tout bête, mais qui va clairement nous simplifier la vie !
