I got an alert on my Marinetraffic.com account that the Gunboat 90 Soulshine was moving off of the northside of St. Thomas. I flew my drone off my veranda, and out to meet her. We only had about 7-8 knots of breeze today, and she was sailing almost at windspeed. What an amazing yacht. For more information on the boat email me.

Competent Crew Course details: ➜ https://www.firstclasssailing.com/rya-courses/competent-crew In this video shot on the Solent, we look at gybing in a little more detail. First thing we do before gybing is to centre the main. In the clip recorded during a Competent Crew course sailing out of Southampton, you see us on port tack; and we'll gybe onto starboard tack. As the stern goes through the wind, the wind gets behind the sails, and the headsail will start to come over, and the main will come across. We don't need to do anything with the main sheet at this point, but we do need to ease the headsail sheet on starboard, and take up the sheet on port. And then at this point we will ease the main sheet to let the main out. You can watch the first gybing tutorial video here: ➜ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6r2qLC51s0 ** About the RYA Competent Crew course in Southampton ** The RYA Competent Crew course is the perfect introduction for beginners who want to get into sailing and is specifically designed for those with little to no sailing experience. Nimbus designed the 495 Fly as a genuine "voyager," not a harbor floater. Her purpose-built explorer-level tank capacity for fuel, water, and waste is key for long-range independence. The Swedish-designed asymmetric "sidewalk" deck ensures safe, easy fore-to-aft passage, crucial for minimal-crew operation. Below, three comfortable cabins, including a midships owner's haven, support extended trips. This boat is about the journey, not just the destination. ⬇️ Full test & Features Review 🎬 #Nimbus495Fly, #NimbusBoats, #BoatTEST, #YachtReview, #BoatReview, #LongRangeCruiser,
