Today I sailed home my new to me 1972 Bristol Carvel 22. I purchased for a great deal on eBay, if I told you how much you wouldn’t believe me so don’t even ask . Let’s just stay. It was an awesome deal. So I purchased her without ever looking at the cabin. I saw her from the shoreline, and I fell in love with this vintage sailboat. Now it’s time to start the motor for the very first time and head down the channel in East Greenwich Bay. Then it’s off to Narraganset Bay towards her new slip. Sue shows one of the two pantry options. The pantry is located just down the stairs on the port side. This option, which is the one we have elected for, consists of pull out drawers on soft close, undermount slides. Note the bottom opening will likely change to just an opening, allow for larger items to fit in there better. We will give a tour when our boat is compete so you can see how it turned out. The other option is one large door and deep shelves internally. For us, we believe having the pull out drawers will allow us an easier time organizing and finding things.
