These boats are a real step up from other cruising catamarans which is why we have included them in our Luxury Catamarans sections. There is an associated jump in the price of course. This boat has been well thought out with wide, easy-to-navigate side decks and plenty of handholds. and you can tell very quickly that she was designed for long passages. The helm, engine controls, instruments, and electric sheet winches are all around the raised helm station that should make her easy to sail with a short-handed crew. Visibility is good all-around from the elevated helm position on the port side. The hulls, deck, cabin top, and bimini are foam-cored and resin-infused, and to reduce weight, furniture and bulkheads are made with foam-cored maple laminates. The North Sound is a reef-protected lagoon ringed by Bitter End, Saba Rock and Leverick Bay. You enter between the reefs into flat, protected water, which is why it is the best-known overnight harbor in the territory - ask a BVI captain for a favorite anchorage and this is the answer we hear most. The mooring balls sit between Bitter End and Saba Rock, so dinner ashore is a tender ride rather than a passage. Two evenings, two different shores, and the boat stays on the same mooring for both. Our brokers build that still night into the week on purpose. The sound stays calm after dark, which is exactly why the second night here works with no repositioning.
