I grew up sailing the local waters of the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay, where we stood constant watch for other boats, crab pots, and debris in the water. Sometimes it is hard to relax. It is not until you go off the coast that you really come to appreciate the peace and solitude of sailing and the sea. The so-called Lazy River is about 7nm from George Town. We visited this special spot twice. The second time, we essentially had the entire beach to ourselves for most of the day. It's very pretty and, IMHO, a must visit if you make it down to George Town and the Moriah Harbor National Park.
