Our first washing day since we connected the first solar panels :-) We have ended with more in the batteries than we started the day despite multiple loads of washing and spin drying, doing the washing up (between them and drinks boiling the kettle on the induction hob at least 6 times), and running my computer (mini desktop with 40" screen). We are now living aboard our Rival 38 Centre Cockpit full-time while finishing a refit so we can launch ASAP. Brand-new state-of-the-art toilets and showers are now officially open at our Hamble Point Marina on the River Hamble. This major upgrade is part of a wider £1.2 million investment in the marina, with £500,000 dedicated specifically to transforming the washroom facilities. And there’s more to come! Work is currently underway on the redevelopment of the marina office, set to open this summer. The new space will feature a welcoming reception, a small essentials store for refreshments and supplies, and 24/7 access to the new facilities directly through the office.
