Sail2Sonus is a festival sailing cruise that combines Sonus Festival’s program with sailing and island hopping in Croatia. We thought it’d be great to experience the music festival through living on a sailing boat instead of rooms or tents. Why not? This way you can make the most out of the summer days, explore, enjoy and really live the sea. By day you’ll be spending time on a yacht, sailing and relaxing on the deck with friends. And you’ll be back on Zrće beach just in time to catch all your fave Sonus Festival acts. Sailing dates: 19th – 26th August. Croatia is a land of a thousand islands. Here is the rule to know before you book, and what you actually get instead. • Jet skis and all other personal watercraft are banned in BVI waters, and that includes the ones a charter yacht carries on deck. The crew cannot launch them anywhere in the territory, and no license changes that. • The BVI has kept personal watercraft out since the late 1980s. It is not a gap in the destination — it is part of why the anchorages still feel the way they do. • Our brokers like the rule: BVI anchorages are small, close together, and full of swimmers, moored boats and turtles. • Most of the fleet we book still carries a serious toy locker even with jet skis off the list — seabobs, efoils, paddleboards, kayaks, tow tubes and a fast dinghy, used straight off the stern at anchor. • Several yachts we book carry their own skis, launch them on the St Thomas side, and keep them stowed once they cross into BVI waters. • Jet skis are allowed in the USVI, and itineraries that start or finish in St Thomas are something we book all the time.
