There’s no secret that loads of deliberate practice and coaching feedback have helped her achieve this consistency The leeward mark can be a place to either makeup or lose a lot of boats. Just having the basic techniques down can be the difference-maker. Oftentimes traffic will create opportunity as boat handling becomes more important than tactics. Being prepared for the mark rounding makes a big difference. It includes setting up the sail and having a wide entry. The objective is to be sailing on close-hauled as close to the mark as possible without hitting it on the exit. We prioritize the angles over the sheeting. Often mistakes are when people aren’t looking where they are going and attempting to sheet looking at their hands. That doesn’t mean sheeting isn’t important – it’s a skill that requires it’s own practice. We have loads of drills to help improve ‘hand over hand’ sheeting technique while watching where you are going. This dramatically increases results in boat handling techniques, such as the mark rounding. All of our clinics include boat handling techniques. Grazie a tutti per la splendida uscita di domenica 7 luglio. Nessuna barca scuola fuori, le poche che lavoravano non hanno messo il naso fuori e hanno fatto solo motore. La vostra scuola nautica è diversa 😁 Se c’è la sicurezza per mare si esce, trovo giusto farvi provare navigazioni impegnative perché se amate andar per mare una sventolata prima o poi la si prende, è nello stato naturale del velista. Meglio dunque con un istruttore che vi assista e vi faccia provare lo stare al timone e vedere la presa a mano di terzaroli piuttosto che prendere schiaffi dal vento senza un minimo di esperienza. Equipaggio fantastico, grazie per la bella uscita impegnativa. 🤙 Buon vento. Massimo
