Irish Sailing have partnered with Water Safety Ireland and the RNLI in a pre-season push to reduce incidents on coasts and waterways. If you’d like to do some more training or brush up on what you already know, Irish Sailing has over 100 training centres around the country offering courses in sailing and windsurfing as well as powerboating and other specialised instruction. At the very north of Ibiza you will find Portinatx, it's a former fishing village situated at a small and idyllic bay. About 150 meters wide, with fine sand, crystal clear and very shallow water. We stayed here for 2 days in the almost windless bay, at one of the white mooringballs in the water. We were the only boat in the bay, which is rare at Ibiza, to have a private bay :). But in February, we find sailing ideal here: lots of sun and almost no tourists.
