@boatfools I love coming across these old sailboats - they look to me both sad and beautiful. It does look like someone has done or is doing some work on her. Looks like she would be a real beauty... The name on her stern is ROBIN - and looks like she hailed from Moss Landing, CA. Anyone know her story?

J109 Going to Red was weaving in and out of the slower fleets as the made their way to Oban on the first passage race of West Highland Week 2023. Things we relatively calm at this stage of the race with the helping tide reducing the apparent breeze which made for smooth sailing which made it easy to judge close crosses like this one. As the day progress and the breeze built things got a little more lively towards the second half of the race with a few of the close crosses getting done with the boats more out of control than in. The bottom up boats team had a great time at WHYW, the weather was not great but the sailing and the social life more than made up for the damp conditions.
