Dock Dodge is a sailboat race on Lake Union, annually May - September, held at 7 pm on Tuesday nights. On Tuesday, August 10th, the theme was Tropical Night. In this video, the island is being erected, for some fun in the sun! The island is a gathering spot for boaters to grab a drink and enjoy the company of fellow sailors after the race! Ahoy! Sailing bliss or disaster? We're leaving the Eagle Point marinara a raw sail downwind to our marina in Lake Dallas. Cyndi and I have come this far to try our hand at a downwind wing-on-wing sail plan, after an easterly beam reach, then a westwardly sail. We had a great time practicing the training run and the down-wind sail setup. We leave our old friend, Sneaky Pete's Grill, and Eagle Point Marina behind and press forward, sailing back to Lake Dallas in our Catalina C-30 Tall Rig sailboat named Zanadu!
