This knot is called a round turn and two half hitches. And the round turn of two half hitches is a fantastic knot for tying on fenders. This is a short lesson from our Catamaran sailing Masterclass knot tying lesson. http://masterclass.nautilussailing.com It's also a great knot for tying your dinghy up to a piling. So here are the steps to do a round turn and two half hitches. You go all the way around your stanchion or the dock post, leave quite a bit of tail. So there's our round turn we like to go over and you come back through that triangle, tighten it up, and the second time we come under. And then back over and that tightens it up. And that's a clean looking round turn, two half hitches. And you can see how that is a real strong, solid knot that's gonna hold your fenders or your dinghy to a dock.
In 1914, Ernest Shackleton led 28 men into the most dangerous place on Earth — Antarctica. Their ship, the Endurance, was crushed and swallowed by pack ice. No radio. No rescue. No hope. With nothing but three small wooden lifeboats, Shackleton made an impossible decision — cross 800 miles of the world's most violent ocean to save every single man. Through freezing storms, 40-foot waves, and 16 days of pure hell — he never gave up. 28 men went in. 28 men came out. Not one life lost. This is the greatest survival story ever told. 🌊 —————————————————— 📌 Watch More Survival Stories: 🔔 Subscribe for more incredible true stories of the sea every week. —————————————————— #Shackleton #Endurance #AntarcticaSurvival #TrueStory #SurvivalStory #GreatestSurvivor #HistoryDocumentary #OceanSurvival #Sailing #Antarctica #ShackletonEndurance #TrueHistory #SurvivalAgainstAllOdds #Documentary #YouTubeShorts #Shorts #ViralHistory
🌍 Somewhere in the vast ocean, there’s a tiny island called Palmerston – a place of solitude, harmony, and a life far from the noise of the world. But is it truly a paradise, or just an illusion of freedom? 💭 We all have our own Palmerston. A place where we feel at peace… or trapped. 🎶 Music Used in This Video: Special thanks to Blagode for original music for our video: 🍎 Apple Music: https://music.apple.com/ua/artist/blagoday/1786885235 🌐 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8Lv3w8bKhvc82CVgM93cmg 🎧 SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/blagoday 💬 Where is your Palmerston?
