We struggled a lot to find a good storage space for our fenders. We considered various options, such as storing them around the mast, at the aft swim platform, and even deflating them for air 💨 After many trials and errors, we finally found a solution that works very well for us. Yep… we literally cut the back off our aluminum sailing catamaran 😅 As part of our major refit, we extended the sugarscoops — rebuilding the sterns completely from 4mm 5083 aluminum. The flat sheets were then pressed for the perfect shape, and welded back on — inside MIG welded and outside TIG welded. We couldn’t be happier with how they turned out!
