One afternoon in October while bowhunting in the woods back home, big lazy flakes of snow started falling. The woods were so quiet and tranquil. It is a memory of home that I am very fond of. There’s no snow here on the sailboat. Just some light rain every now and then…almost daily. Winter here is quite different from what I am used to back in Alberta.

Ecco la sequenza per aprire la randa che va imparata a memoria: 1 - controlla che la coperta sia sgombra 2 - rizza sottocoperta 3 - chiudi il tambucio 4 - metti prua al vento 5 - lasca il vang e scotta randa 6 - libera le mani di terzaroli 7 - cazza la drizza 8 - lasca l'amantiglio 9 - metti a segno la randa Ora sei pronto ad aprire la vela di prua! Imparare ad andare a vela non è facile, ma l'unico modo per farlo è provare! Non avere vergogna, prova, prova e riprova e fra una regolazione e l'altra vedrai che riuscirai a fare amicizia con il vento!
