The Double Sheet Bend is one of if not the best way to join to ropes of different diameter. You can learn how to tie a double sheet bend in less than two minutes. Here at Bottom Up Boat we prefer the Double Sheet Bend over the Single Sheet bend, the two loops around the bight give it key advantages over the single sheet bend. The two loops make the knot more secure before the knot has been put under load and easier to untie as the double loops cause the knot to tighten on the bight rather than the loop wedging itself at the top of the bend. The Bottom up Boats team recommend that you learn the single sheet bend, https://youtu.be/vKvJ3aKu43A , but always use the Double Sheet Bend as it is far superior. If the shorts version was to quick for you and you want a more detailed demo of how to tie the double sheet bend you can watch the full form version on the bottom up boats main channel. https://youtu.be/mQU20P-Idns If you like the Double Sheet Bend video you should click on the link below to watch out Know Knots playlist which has variety of knots that every sailor should know. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMoCfFBA9IMUcOoZy5QT-o66DM8uHukkH Thanks for watching our YouTube Shorts video where we teach you how to tie the double sheet bend video and for reading on to learn more, if you learnt something along the way don't forget to subscribe getting the Bell on to ensure you are notified as soon we release our new content.

Imagine the effect on the ecosystem, or just on our own health...
