J109 Going to Red gliding by GBR 7737 from the IRC 0 fleet during Volvo Cork Week 2024. The crew on the downwind boat was calm as the boats converged, making only a small adjust to ensure they stay clear. Shortly after the close cross it was time to take on the lay line and get after the leaders of the IRC1 race who had got the jump on the redline racing team at the start. Ir ajustado al viento es duro y muchos navegantes cuando tienen el viento en la nariz, deciden arriar las velas y arrancar el motor para llegar antes al destino. Pero en nuestro caso, somos marineros duros y ponemos 45 grados al viento en cuanto el guión lo exige. En este vídeo vas a ver cómo nos enfrentamos a vientos de entre 20 y 35 nudos de intensidad.
