Today was one of those days with a bit of everything. It started windy and quite rough. During the night I had adjusted the sails to make it a bit easier to sleep, which helped, but also pushed us a little off course. Worth it for the rest. The tricky part is the wind is coming from exactly where we want to go. So the options were basically southeast, or northwest… none of them ideal. Anything with south or west in it feels wrong right now, but that’s what we had to work with. So we zigzagged a bit. Back and forth, trying to gain something, but not really making much headway. At least we were moving. Then at some point, the wind dropped. And honestly… it felt amazing. A proper break. The boat calmed down, everything softened, and for a moment it was just peaceful. But then it died completely. Which meant- time to charge the batteries. So we did. Had an amazing dinner, got ready to charge again… and then the alternator stopped working. So now the batteries aren’t charging. And the day ends with me back in the engine bay, trying to figure out what’s going on. Giorno 229 - Varo della barca Ragazzi che dire… Stanotte dormiamo galleggiando! ⛵️ Chi si ricordava più quanto fosse rilassante il dondolio del mare? Sembriamo dentro a una culla e addormentarsi è un gioco da ragazzi. Il momento in cui la barca è stata issata sulla gru ci ha regalato un bel sorriso, ora vi spiego perché. Stavamo aspettando il momento X, ci stavamo annoiando e Andre ha proposto di fare una diretta lampo, senza preavviso né argomenti di conversazione. Così siamo andati live. Dopo pochi minuti hanno acceso la gru e l’operazione è iniziata. Potevamo mai interrompere sul più bello la diretta? Così, grazie alla batteria più resistente del pianeta (diretta terminata al 2% di autonomia 🪫) abbiamo condiviso questo momento, ogni volta stressante.
