The aft cabin is one of the biggest spaces on Vela, but we still see so much potential to optimize! Here’s what we’re planning: 🛠️ Extra Storage: We’re building cabinets on each side of the bed and adding shelves inside the hanging lockers—because you can never have too much storage for clothes and gear on a boat. 💡 Desk Transformation: That “make-up table” (seriously, who uses it?) is getting a makeover! We’re turning it into a retractable desk with shelves above—perfect for working or planning our next adventures. 🌬️ Ventilating Cupboard Doors: On our nice-to-have list are ventilating doors for better airflow and to prevent condensation—practical and pretty. 💧 Watermaker Plans: We’re considering fitting the membranes for our watermaker under the bed, making good use of otherwise empty space. This cabin is already cozy, but we can’t wait to make it even more functional for life on board. What do you think of our plans? Any ideas we should consider? Nunca dejaré de emocionarme al encontrarme con ballenas. En Un velero en las rías baixas, a la altura de las Islas Cíes, nos encontramos con un montón de ballenas azules. Todo esto sucedió durante unas clases prácticas de patrones y capitanes de yate. Además de para mi, resulta muy emocionante para los alumnos también. Además de recibir la clase, que yo me la tomo muy en serio y estoy dando la clase de principio a fin, encontrarse con estos cetáceos convierte a la práctica de patrón y capitán de yate en una experiencia única.
