Join us on a journey to the heart of the Louisiades Archipelago in Papua New Guinea, where we explore a traditional village house made entirely from materials sourced from the surrounding bush. In this remote part of the world, the locals rely on their resourcefulness, cutting down sago trees with machetes to build homes that can last up to 20 years. Just to prove that I'd done it, I recorded the moment I got the third sail up on my tod. As I say in the clip it may only have been 4 knots and the fenders were still out but it was quite an achievement for someone who has only been sailing for two years. I particularly like the shot of the bike chained to the mast! [] www.followtheboat.com [] * tales from the high seas *
