Discrimination and harassment in the workplace can limit opportunities and affect safety, especially for women in traditionally male-dominated industries like ship recycling. This video highlights these challenges, showing why awareness and respect are essential for a safe, inclusive, and productive workforce. By shining a light on these issues, IMO’s SENSREC Project encourages conversations, policy improvements, and practices that support equality and fairness. Visit https://sensrec.imo.org/ to learn how raising awareness can help create workplaces where everyone can thrive, contribute safely, and shape a sustainable maritime future.
Marina – a Huckins 60′ Linwood combines timeless Down East styling with modern performance and luxury. Maintained to high standards, she shows today like a new Huckins. The Linwood is a remarkably agile yacht; it tracks dead-on, banks effortlessly into turns and — with its lightweight, high-performance hull — drafts shallow enough to go virtually anywhere. Best in class custom build quality, Huckins Quadraconic Hull and her highly maneuverable HamiltonJets are a few highlights that help to propel MARINA to the best buy in the category. She is powered by Cummins QSM11 twin diesels, one of the most advance marine propulsion systems available. The Generator, Kohler 20KW located in a fully sound insulated engine room. The layout features 2 comfortable staterooms, his and her bath with adjoining tub/shower, guest stateroom with adjoining head, nicely appointed salon, open galley with custom appliances and a spacious bridge deck perfect for entertaining. After seeing several social media broadcasts dramatizing the coming hurricane, I thought about a parody. It was all fun and games when the storm was forecasted to go north of the bay. We got a little worried when the track went south at the last minute. Shortly after filming one of these clips the weather forecast showed the chance of the storm coming in to Banderas Bay, and it was hard to think of humorous weather parodies after that! The storm did a lot of damage, but Puerto Vallarta is recovering nicely. There is still power and water and internet outages throughout the bay, but this place recovers very quickly after major disasters. My compliments to all the hard working people at CFE and the government for taking such good care of everyone.
