Foi dada a largada para a 48ª Semana Internacional de Vela de Ilhabela que vai até 31 de julho de 2021, no Yacht Club de Ilhabela (YCI), no litoral norte paulista. O tradicional Desfile das Embarcações empolgou o público presente e deu um gostinho do que estar por vir nas regatas da semana mais importante da vela brasileira! O grande encontro da modalidade conta com mais de 100 barcos das principais classes de vela oceânica, como ORC, RGS, Mini Transat, Multicasco, Bico de Proa, Clássicos, C30 e HPE25. Über 3 Jahre reisen wir schon mit unseren beiden Kinder Vollzeit durch die Welt. Wir haben uns gegen den Bau eines Eigenheims entschieden und haben uns lieber ein 20 Jahre altes Wohnmobil gekauft. 2019 haben wir all unser Hab und Gut in Deutschland verkauft, unsere sicheren Jobs gekündigt und sind losgezogen. Mit unserem Wohnmobil hatten wir eine aufregende Zeit. Immer der Sonne hinterher und immer am Meer entlang. Im April diesen Jahres haben wir dann Asphalt gegen Wasserstraßen getauscht. Nun segeln und leben wir auf unserer Stellar und sind immer noch genauso abenteuerlustig wie am Anfang. Doch was kostet ein Leben als Vollzeitreisende auf einem Boot? Wovon leben wir? Those who restore classic yachts help maintain sailing history – from wooden schooners and meter boats to one-designs. Now, a more modern classic has been restored. George Radley Jr. of Cobh, Ireland, has owned the Ron Holland-designed IMP since the ’90s and has just done a major restoration of this famous 1970s IOR winner. Over the decades, the boat has kept her distinctive look with her topsides painted in a rainbow horizontal green bands going from light green to dark green at the waterline. Originally built for San Francisco sailor David Allen in 1977, the boat was a radical design that turned out to be a breakthrough on the IOR scene.
