After a great night at the Quoile yacht club that ended up continuing on into the wee hours of the morning on GTR the Redline Racing Team was great we wind and rain to sober everyone up for Race 3 of the Quoile Yacht Club springs series followed shortly after Race 1, the sun finally burnt of the morning fog to deliver a fantastic afternoon for racing. The two J109's GTR and Jammie Dogger were only meters apart as the lined up for a downwind start out of the head of the Quoile river. Jammie Dogger had windward position on the line but GTR managed to put their kite first while enabled to shoot out from the leeward position, getting to the increasing breeze first which allowed them to stretch out an early lead on the way to Mark 3. Going to Red was setup perfectly on the long beat to Mark 11 with the Jib angle in tight she raced fast and high on the flat water. After winning the second start in a row they did not look back, increasing they lead at every mark to take race 2 of the QYC spring series. This DeFever 44 is bound to catch the eye of anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, and capable cruiser—especially if you’re dreaming of long-range adventures or living aboard internationally. Designed by Arthur DeFever, a legend in the trawler world, this 44-foot flybridge motor yacht was his most popular model for good reason. It’s built tough with a solid fiberglass hull, a deep keel, and sturdy struts protecting the running gear, making it a seaworthy choice for tackling coastal waters. The displacement hull—steady and fuel-efficient—means you’re not burning through diesel like some lighter boats. You get a generous salon with a galley-up design—perfect for keeping the cook in the conversation—plus a full-beam master stateroom aft with a queen berth, ensuite head, and enough storage to settle in for months. The forward guest cabin has a V-berth for visitors, and the walk-in engine room is a mechanic’s dream—near stand-up headroom for easy maintenance. Add in the flybridge with its commanding views and roomy aft deck for lounging or entertaining, and you’ve got a boat that feels like a floating home without skimping on practicality. Owners love the walk-around decks for easy handling and the tender setup. For someone who values durability, comfort, and the freedom to roam, don’t let this one pass you by! https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/1985-defever-44-trawler-9694624/

Direzione: Sardegna Miglia: 200 Frigo: pieno Equipaggio: 4 persone (2 arrivate stasera) Umore: alto Partenza: stasera! Notturna in arrivo. Ci aggiorniamo domani, amici! 🙋‍♀️ Camilla
