A plastic bag has an average “working life” of 15 minutes. Over the last ten years, we have produced more plastic than during the whole of the last century. It is estimated that 8 million tons of plastic pollute the Ocean each year – that’s a truck full of plastic produced every minute. We cannot deny that something is changing. If we continue this way, by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish (in weight). The good news is – it’s not too late!
