Two months ago, we pulled and began Prepping our Mast For our Sailboat! What a project. Prepping a Mast for a Sailboat, entails a ton of things. Here is a short video about a few of the things we have done. We are two days away from stepping it--or putting it back in! We are a new sailing couple and love having you on the journey with us. If you dig what you are seeing, join us on our blog at: https://www.gypseaexplorer.com/ Or, check out another sailboat video at: https://youtube.com/shorts/OyJKCfuIQL8?si=MV3Hk0J0okxj7dFO Cheers!
Okay, this one is an option, but it’s great and we’re going to go with it on Mira. Advantages: Lighter Longer life-span Stronger and can actually bear the force of redirecting lines via a carabiner/shackle Allows way more water to flow through(safer) More resilient with individual Dyneema lashings instead of using one or two segments to attach Disadvantages: Added cost (approximately $5k as of this video) The rigging person will have phantom hand cramps appear when thinking of your boat
