A liderança de Cândido no motim que combateu as punições físicas como o uso de chibatas contra marinheiros — em sua maioria, negros — o fez se tornar um ícone das mobilizações antirracistas no Brasil após a abolição da escravidão. With the Atlantic hurricane season approaching thousands of sailboats are heading towards safer waters. Many come down to Trinidad, which is seen as a safe place to store your yacht. The shipyard Power Boats hauled a Leopard Catamaran from the same series as us, the Leopard 45. It's the first of at least 5 who are coming this season, and we look forward to meeting or catching up with the other owners.
