The first week of the season ending frosties regatta a strangford lough yacht club got of the a lively start with 15 to 25 knots keeping the sailor busy. J109 Going to Red was blasting across the bottom reach when the out core of the tack line broke. The dynemma core shot forward with the tack line rising about 6 meters before the core locked in tight in the clutch. The team kept calm and kept the kite flying while they dropped the jib before cutting the rope to drop the kit. Another example why you always need a sharp knife handy while racing to ensure that you can get out of any trouble where ropes get locked in and will not run. The crew did a great job of staying calm before racing on to victory in race 1.

Cíes, Ons y Sálvora son las islas que vamos a visitar en esta Masterclass de vela y navegación atlántica por las aguas costeras de Galicia. Saldremos del puerto de Punta Lagoa situado en la orilla sur de la Ría de Vigo para poner rumbo a la ruta de las tres islas. En el precio está incluido el desayuno, comida y cena. We are on a river cruise down the Rhine and I shot this today as we went through a valley with lots of castles. We are on the Amamora, never knew river cruises were much of a thing but I am a big fan.
