A veces, cuando estamos con un viento muy fuerte, cuando la persistencia, la intensidad y el fetch se alían todos de la mano, la virada en redondo o trasluchada se vuelve muy peligrosa. Es por ello que muchos marinos optan por cambiar el viento de banda pasando éste por la proa.
