As I continue traveling through Japan’s longevity hotspots, I keep hearing a surprisingly common response from people who remain active, healthy, and engaged deep into old age: “I don’t worry too much.” And I notice something else as well. They laugh easily. This Short is another small Field Note from my ongoing research into healthy aging, community, and what I call “Red Zone Rebels”, people who seem to compress the years of decline often associated with old age. About me: I’m Lowell Sheppard, 71, sailor, author, and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. I’m the Founder of the Never Too Late Academy and Special Advisor to the International Forum. Through Japan Solo Field Notes, I explore aging, place, community, and longevity across Japan. My travels are part of the Longevity Project with the Never Too Late Academy. https://www.nevertoolateacademy.com/ #Longevity #HealthyAging #Japan #JapanSolo #Happiness #LifeLessons #AgingWell #Community #Mindset #HealthyLiving #nevertoolate
The team on J109 GTR owned the start of race 3 of the 2024 Narrows Series, with light wind and the clearance make set on the leeward side of the transit of the starting line the crew on Going to Red punched out into the tide around 15 second before the gun went which helped them build speed in the tide and build a solid lead only a few seconds into the race. The team at bottom up boats hope you are enjoying some short bits from the 2024 racing season on Strangford lough.
