Laurent Giles seemed to achieve a seamless transition between #traditional and #modern styling - it is not surprising that PAZIENZA with her handsome sheer and understated English good looks was down to the last two nominees for the most beautiful boat in France in 2010. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/200/PAZIENZA In his design philosophy, Giles considered that a yacht should have ‘the utmost docility and sureness of manoeuvring at #sea in good or bad weather.’ Thus his boats were designed to maintain a steady course with minimal action by the #helmsman yet to respond instantly to the helm if the need arose. He identified PAZIENZA as a ‘good example of a comfortable shorthanded cruising boat with a first class performance under power yet able to take part successfully in #ocean races. Yachting World in 1957 described her as ‘a large cutter into which a great deal of thought has been given to comfort and convenience.’ The current owner and family have successfully cruised and raced in #europe and the #caribbean and PAZIENZA is just one of those boats that once seen – she will always stay with you!
A highly efficient full carbon foil package dedicated to race performance even in lighter winds. Giving it top-tier stiffness but keeping flex to a minimum, the foil mast is manufactured using M40J high-modulus high-strength carbon fiber composites. To stay really tight upwind or to dive into deep downwind angles, the foil is equipped with an anhedral 920 cm2 front wing. Tail wing angle can be adjusted on the beach or even in the water, which is critical to race performance. No spacers are needed. Race 920 foil components are assembled with 8mm countersunk hex-head stainless screws. All are super strong and resist both mechanical damage and corrosion. All Loftsails foil sets can be customized with a wide range of interchangeable front wings, fuselages, tail wings and foil masts for a tailored, fine-tuned experience. Not gonna lie, first time berthing this beast was terrifying (I’d only berthed using tiller steer on smaller boats before this) but I’m sloooowly getting the hang of it! We’re heading south to the Gold Coast for some much needed repairs, a few upgrades and a bum clean. It will hopefully take no longer than a week, fingers crossed🤞 #sailing #australia #peelisland #goldcoast #yacht #jeanneau #queensland #youngcruisers #sailboat #voyageofmonami
