Pets are not allowed to land anywhere on the small sand dunes of Tubbataha Reefs as it is a marine protected area ... but they can swim if they like. Our new friend Solo guides us on a hike barefoot through the island to a place where generations of families have come to enjoy these delicious nuts called Maje. The PNG pigeon eats the flesh while the hard outer encasing is left for us to try to crack open with a rock to get to the reward inside.
